What rig are we talking about. You can get aftermarket designs, but in reality a swap bar is basically supposed to limit articulation to stop side to side motion. Heaps of rock crawlers run them, but their application is totally different to what you are looking at.

i have a 95 serria with 235/75 on f100 rims.(small lift with oldman emu) but i took it off and now it hard to go fast on the beach don't mind body roll on the road cause the road is predictable. i just wanted like a after maket one to still allow articulation but reduce the on road sway but that i guess is not what they are design for.

Some time ago Frank (Bitsaremissin in the Mitsi sect) made some swaybar articulators
Supose it is similar to a airlocker.
You cut your bar in half insert one of theses and away you go
With air on the halves of the bar are disconnected, air off connected solid
Think the were around $300 ea, but this was quiet some time ago

I guess that when the air is applied it forces the pin through to lock them. When the holes line up as the suspension comes back to even the pin slides in and locks them till it is released???
I dont find hardly any difference on the beach or road. Nothing dangerous. That is on 32's. SPOA with soft flat springs. Basically swaybars are designed to fight articulation, so it will be a compramise either way you go.

wat sought of beaches do u drive on lay80n. our beaches can get quite ruff and unpredictable especially for a zuk cause they never fit in the car tracks.. with that sway bar disconect do any of u know wat size pin u should use for a sierra?i think a 8mm pin (5/16) it shouldn't weeken it to much...? it looks like one end is just grub screwed and the other rotats apart from when it turns

I live in Newcastle, so drive regually on Belmont South and Stockton beach. Have driven on many different beaches up and down the coast though. For the disconnects, look at the designs used on the jeeps, and just copy them. Or simillar designs for patrols and cruiser.
In the auto design, it apears that the swaybar is cut in half, and each half goes into an end of the atriculator and is clamped in it. By allowing each end of the articulator to rotate, or clamping them to each other, wouild provide the disconeecting action. Best to PM Frank (bitsamissin)

All the jeep one had was a the existing bit of the sway bar top(Long straight bit that parralel with the fron to the car!) with 2 solid bit pointing to the ground with holes drilled in it and a bit at the bottom where it attaches with another two solid bit with a hole drilled in them then just a bit of tube with holes at the top and bottom then just clip them on off!
