hey all i was thinking of putting

GOOD YEAR WRANGLERS
SIMEX PEEDS
BF GOODRIDGE MUD TERIAN

i have A/T tryes for road use and was looking for a off road type possibly MUD TERRAIN, the thing is was hoping for a tyre 50 say 50% on raod and 50% off road

i have hered good stories about these tyres on like patrols and cruisers and they rocken tyre wear pritty good! i thinking if good on theose heavy POS it will be EXCELENT of zooks

i was thinking getting 30" tryes

I will putting in a 2" spring lift !! with a 30mm spacer and all corners!!!

They do 29" pedes. smallest i think they do then up to 32's Unless you looking at the simex mud terrain in 31's.

Heaps run mtrs and bfg mt on here.

Search around and you will find.

i have had 235/75 MT/R's and 31/10.5 BFG muds on my car, both were brand new and performed well, simex on a suzi are overrated, they don't bag out enough with a light weight vehicle. personally i would go bfg muds 30/9.5

I had a set of Goodyear Wrangler AT/R 205/75R 15 on my Vitara for a few years, great tyre for on and off road.
I then put a set of Goodyear Wranglers MT/R 30â€

yea this is my problem....

how do you find noise, wear and handleing with the wranglers?

anyone had any experince with BFG MT/R????

I have a 94 LWB Vitara, with a 2 inch suspension lift and a set of 30/9.5R15 Maxxis Mudder tyres.

Some thoughts so far:

The maxxis mudders have got really good grip off road, through mud, over sand and you don't need to pay for a name (ie BFG, GY etc). I paid mates rates from one of my best mates who owns a tyre shop here in newy, but I think you would get these tyres for around $200 ea?

They are a little noisy on the road, but that's why I have a decent stereo.

Being 30" tyres, they have knocked around the performance on road a little, however since switching fuel to the higher octane premium whenever I fill up, it goes a hell of a lot better and fuel economy has actually improved as I'm not leaning so hard on the loud pedal anymore.

When I first put the new tyres on and went out in the bush the lip on the rear guards chewed up the tyres . The reason for this is that I also got some new wheels that had a greater offset than the originals did.

So as a result I am this weekend putting in a 1 inch bodylift to clear the guards.

Hope this info helps. Overall I'm very happy with the maxxis mudders and in 30" size, just a bit of extra work, but well worth it .

I have run 31 pedes and 30" goodyear MT/R's under my sierra and the MT/R's perform better for me over every terrain except the mud. I agree that the pedes dont bag enough under a zook to be as good as they should be but I have no doubt under a heavier car that they are an excellent tyre. Plus pedes are quite noisy so if that is an issue then dont go them. I'm afraid I cant agree with the above comment about the MT/R's being noisy...I can't hear them at all in my car and they are no louder than my highway terrain tyres...maybe they werent balanced or rotated properly? MTR for me..you wont be disappointed...fantastic tyre if you dont do a lot of mud.
