as always i'm sure i can get the answer here.

just finishing up fitting my radiator and not sure what to do here. have never had to do this before.

it is a rear mounted rad, from a late model Falcon, there is no rad cap on the radiator or on the engine. the rad sits higher than the outlets on the engine.

do i need an overflow tank?
the Falcon has the rad cap on the overflow tank. i asume that the tank needs to be higher than radiator to fill, in this case it will be sitting very high on the cage and look out of place and dificult to fill

can the overflow tank be lower than the overflow pipe on the rad?

i have a housing off a 2LT that has a rad cap on it, i can adapt that to one of the pipes either at the engine or at the rad, but again i asume that the cap needs to be higher than the highest point in the system to fill it all?

what should i do

you need a section of hard tube with a cap, and mount this inline at the highest point. the small overflow tube from the cap can go to your reservoir. the reservoir can be lower than the radiatior.
