Far stronger and heavier than hilux diffs, probably overkill on a zook unless it is repowered to something much bigger.
Same size as 70's, 60' etc

mate you should be lookin in the toyota section.
same size centres. 60 diffs are wider then 40 diffs.
80s are wider again.

similar axle length to lux but the extra width is in the larger center.
only about ~1" wider than lux o'all , but 2" narrower than 60ser
(approx only)

CHEEZY RACING put the 45 diff under my Surf and all up it's 1" shorter than the Hilux (wide body) 1/2 " each side and you can't tell.
I've got 4 dowles per axle too with new studs, cones & nylock bolts which are doing the job nicely.
It's been shaved too and with the Pedes on I have 13" of clearence from the pumkin
I've had a habit of breaking the rear 8" centres so when I rebuilt the last one I decided to put the 10 1/4" diff in, so far I've done a few hard trips away and it's held up well (broke the clutch clean in half just before X-mas

) and with the front 45diff If you run a set of Haultecs or Longfields your laughing .

Hey HG, any chance you can snap a few pics of the shave job? i haven't seen this done to a 45 diff, i was told it wasn't worth it
