Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi there,

The transfer cases on both our 80s have always had kind of a grinding/growling sound when cruising along in low gear.

Does anyone know if its a particular bearing or is it all of them?

I just wanna do a quick replacement of 1 bearing or 2... I dont want to do a complete overhaul job.

drop the oil and check for steel. U will find it is normal, due to the gear teeth mesh, but just to be sure we r talking about thesame thing, look in the oil.
