Hi All

A question about duel batteries. I have a second bat on my gu that is controlled by a TJM control box. Does it run independantly of main bat? What does it do? The guy i bought it off ran his camper off it.

The reason i ask is that i had tinted windows fitted and the installer asked "where was the switch for my second battery" I didn'think it had one.

Hope you can clear this up for me :)

The TJM "control box" is probably the "switch" the installer asked about. I don't know that particular product, but it's probably one of the smart boxes which waits 'til the main battery is charged, then connects the second battery in parallel, to charge it too. Of course, when the engine's off, the second battery is disconnected from the main battery.

Does this help?

Yes it does. so i can basically use the second battery to power stuff without worrying about draining my main start battery?
