Hey guys I'm new to this forum but I'm chasing some info. I've got a 1987 2.6l Petrol Paj auto. I've just done a 2" body lift and the day after tomorrow I'm fitting 33"x12.5" Maxxis Bighorns to it. The info I'm chasin is is the engin spec's to hop up the old girl. I had some info on my PC from a guy who raced one offroad but I lost it when my pc crashed. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.
Cheers
Tony

An increasingly common modification is to fit Magna fuel injection: try here. No more hassles with carbies flooding on steep hills. :D

There's a link in that thread to Sigma-Galant.com which has many members modifying 2.6 Astrons. Many of them are bolting Sigma turbos to the 2.6, but a few are modifying them N/A.

The biggest problem is low compression in stock form. A new head can increase the compression ratio, but you've got to get the right one to start with. Don't go lightweight crank/flywheel. That's good for high rpm horsepower, but not good for low rpm torque - what you really want for low speed crawling over big rocks.

Good luck,

Scott
