Hi guys, just need a bit off info on this before i go out and buy the lift. (btw, anyone know the cheapest place to grab em?)

Ive got the Widewheel pack on the wagon, so that also means the factory stepup tray bars on the sides for the doors. I think there also welded to the frame (bolted).

So is it a hard job to do? can me n a mate do this on a lazy sunday arvo? what do i need to take into consideration? ie will the brake leads fit? or do they have to be extended? what about the steering? does that need some spacers?

anything need to be loosened like wiring? or anything else? what about the radiator/oil cooler? will any of that need to be modded?

any help would be much appreciated.

regards

(ps, this is so my new tires will for when i get them, is this the best way to go? or would a suspension lift be easier? (cheaper?)

thanx again.

Hi mate done body lift in a swb only mods needed was removal of radiator shroud, bend down the bracket for the clutch cable undo the clamp on the bottom of the steering rod check fuel lines after lifting.Body lift is the cheapest lift you can do took me & brother in law did it in 45min, also i bought mine from smarts aluminium just rang em up ordered 50mm diameterx50mm long lengthsx8 youll need 10 i think cost me $36youll need to drill centres out your self then remove all bolts in one side take em to your local bolt shop ask for the same bolts with a 50mm longer shank in grade 8 steel all up it cost less than $70 for the lot.

gas drxdo your kits come with bolts?

when you do the mody lift you will also find that you either have to cut the bottom off the fan shroud or move the radiator back down 2 inches. also you bull bar etc will then be 2 inches lower than the cab and may obstruct your head lights etc. (easily fixed with a grinder and welder)
you will also have to stretch out the coils of hard brake line below the master cylinder a little.
other than that i think the rest has already been mentioned
definaty the best way to go on a mq without huge cost

Yes the kit contains nylon 76mm blocks and high tensile bolts with nyloc nuts.

Postage to Sydney takes a couple of days and costs $14.

I recommend only 2" as it is very easy instalation compared to 3" but can make 3" if you like.
