Owners would have spent too much fixing all the inherent design faults to afford a blower !

when they were new, JE engineering in the UK did a conversion.

it was intercooled as well cost about 17,000 pounds drive in drive out.

now i know these guys are top notch, but 35,000-40,000 dollars for an engine upgrade.

I fitted a 4.6 supercharged engine in my defender never got to use it had to take it off :bad-words: queensland transport wouldnt let me. But I still have good intensions of putting it on one day just need to find a legal way around it. The type of supercharger is a powerdyne from capa . The engine came from down south (vic) and I think amv did the mods to it eg brakets pulleys longer belts the supercharger cost about $5,500 and the fitting and brackets on top of that. This setup is non- intercooled the mechanic that did the engine conversion said that the type of supercharged doesnt work well intercooled as they did that type of setup on a BA xr8 falcon they had to go to the next model up (supercharger)an extra $800

Ive got an M90 Eaton Supercharger off my friends P38 4.6. He took it off when he sold the car. It apparently went well. Going to drop it on a 4.0 or 4.6 when I find an engine to replace my old 3.9 in the rangie. Will run an aftermarket computer for the whole setup as the supercharger has an extra injector on it.
Thinking of selling the whole setup for 2k as the 3.9 won't die!

explain ? please ive had mine for a while now and havent spent a cent on it but it has been in under warranty for an air flow metter and abs senser but thats it.
and its just about time to do the rear air bags because they are cracked.
but apart from that i think they get a bit of a bad rap i love mine and wont be getting rid of it for some time to come.
