Protecting Wiring Harness from Exhaust Heat

Had a look at the engine wiring loom in the vicinity of the starter motor - wiring is very brittle due to heat from exhaust which is close and insulation is breaking down.

Moving the wiring doesnt seem feasible (as the headers completly surround the starter motor and the battery terminal on the starter is a major takeoff point)- what would be the best way to protect it? Is there some type of heat resistant insulation tape available or should I wrap the exhaust in the vicinity with header tape? Thought about plastic loom tubing but it would probably melt anyway?
