Has anyone looked at othe cruiser reduction gear options?
i have been putting in the hours on the web searching....
came across these, has anyone had much to do with them?
http://www.high-impact.net/transmission ... toybox.htm
simply put i think there has to be a better answer then marks gears, they are quite limited and pricey....
any help be appreciated.

not personaly but they will make for a msaaive drive train. no way they'll fit a shorty40.
i'd run one but can't fit it.

Ben, I thought the toy box only added around 6 inches to the drive train and all at the back???
If someone..... ME, was maybe thinking of a longer wheelbase can ya see anyother problems??
oh and it says on there that they can do just gears, 4.7's in the transfercase. i think it was $500 US.
has anyone looked at that?
and the 6:1 gears who made them??
they dont seem to come up very often???

I've got 55% reduction gears in low range in my H55f transfer in an FJ73 now known as a 1UZ73, haigh range is still 1:1 ration, 55% is awseome for the type of driving i do (Winch comps), need to look at your options, i bought my gears on OL for $450 and they had never been fitted to a transfer before.

I rang don kyatt, re some terrain tamer gears.
they dont make them for 40s, but 80s is my other option.
They are 2.649 ration and $1290.
im not sure on that ratio it didnt sound low enough??
but in anycase its nowhere near low enough for my purposes...
so cmon guys give me some ideas?
I will be driving a flying car before ICE makes me some gears....

you got the marlin toy box. like the one above that uses the hilux reduction box, or there is the advance adapters orion transfer, but both are over $1500 atleast to get here and installed
or you could convert to a 60's 5speed and transfer and put gears in that.

There is a 80 series diesel h150 5 speed on ebay with transfer for 400 bux, std 2.45 low range, 4.5 first, and i have a Kruiser Krawler to fit it with 3.05 low or 1/1 high...thats 148/1 first low low, or 42/1 std low range or 60/1 kk low only...and constant 4wd
They dont pop 5th when towing, and parts are available everywhere....compresser with 150 psi is all thats reqd.

For my next 40 if i can sell this one.
Im undecided whether to run 80 or 40 transfer.
i have spare 40trans so its the logical choice, but i have 80 diffs ready.
so really it depends on hat gears are available.
