I am making my own hot water system and was wondering dose the heat exchanger go between the engine and the heater box or between the the heater tap and engine?
and what water pump & filtter should I use?
Any help would be great thanks

think about it, if you turn the heater dial to cold you get cold shower, if you turn dial to hot you get hot shower.

The Heat exchange goes parallel to the in and out hoses of the heater. Try the Helidon heat exchange website, their prices are that good you might not other to do it yourself. I have one and they are fantastic.

Right. i have a twine system. it taps into the hose that comes out of the block and into the heater. if the the heater is set to cold then a valve stops flow in that hose and no heat is transferred to the twine. as the temp lever is moved towards hot, more and more water is allowed to flow transferring heat as it does.
I don't use my Twine so if you want mine and all the hoses let me know and we can work out a price.
