Over a year in development and testing, this new knuckle design sets a new standard in Toyota knuckle strength and reliability. This kit totally eliminates the problem of broken steering knuckles and studs on Toyota front solid axles. The addition of two studs in each arm effectively prevents the steering arm from becoming loose and shearing off the studs. The knuckle housing is also thicker then stock and larger gussets have been added around the outside of the knuckle for extra strength. Precision CNC machined, each knuckle is direct bolt on, heavy duty replacement.

Six Shooter KnucklesTM are sold as a pair and include our set of special six hole shims for use between the top of the knuckle and the steering arm. Also included is a 1/2" course thread bolt to help remove the steering arms for knuckle service. To remove the steering arms, remove all 6 nuts, then install the bolt in the top of the arm. As the bolt is tightened, the steering arm is pulled up off the knuckle. Stock lower bearing plates and shims from your old knuckles are needed for knuckle assembly. A minimum of four additional steering arm studs are needed for installation. Six Shooter KnucklesTM are a Marlin Crawler design and are manufactured exclusively by Trail-Gear Inc. No questions asked, lifetime warranty on all knuckles, arms, rod ends and rods.
Our six stud high steer kit includes left and right six stud steering arms, tie rod, drag link, four rod ends and your choice of flat or curved pitman arm. To use this kit you will also need an IFS style steering box, box mount, Six Shooter Knuckle kit, and four additional knuckle studs.

This I can understand and would be a wise upgrade if you were wanting to run high steer.

Because as soon as you add Hydro assist or full hydro it doesnt matter how often you check they they still break.

You could but they are actually identical left to right if they are done this way. So it made it a lot cheaper way of getting them made.

By putting two sets of caliper mounts on the knuckle we are able to use the same knuckle for both left and right applications.

It would take a huge master cylinder to run two sets of front calipers but it would sure stop fast!
