Turbo diesel questions

ey got a turbo kit for my mq patrol , my engine is a non turbo sd33 81 model can i still run the turbo because its not the turbo engine or no? and what psi can i run it at
As far as i know there should be no problems, I have been tolded that the heads are slightly differrent, only for the oil galleries to run to the turbo. But i have a friend that used to work for nissan and bolted a turbo on his td42 after being told by nissan there were no differences between td42 and the td42t so i would think it would be the same for a sd33,
As long as the motor is in good condition and don't run loads of boost standard i think they run about 9 pound but if you run about 4-6 pound it would make a big difference and should be safe. see how you go..
