had a closer look at the fuse box and there were two cut/crimped connections that were around the wrong way

had green->red and red->green.. swap em around and its all good

easy as pie really..

cool. i thought i had posted a reply to this earlier but can't see it. my idea was turbo timer install gone slightly wrong (swapping the 2 wires). anyway, glad you found it
