Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Gday Boys. Just picked up my new GQ ute. Just checking a few things out and noticed that there is no prefilter in the pre filter canister. Just wondering if there is some reason for doing this that any of you blokes know of, if not I will be off to grab one to whack in there. The guy I got it off was pretty fussy with maintenance and servicing etc, the main air filter is fairly new. Thought it could maybe some kind of mod but only just joining the Nissan club I have only limited knowledge at this stage.

the outlet on the precleaner is about 1/4 the size of the inlet. restrictive is not a appropriate term.

took mine off the GQ 2+yrs ago, never missed it.
