I have a 04 patrol which apparently has just done a flywheel. Nissan will replace it under warranty, but apparently there are none in the country!
Is this a common problem with them? I will need to wait up to a week for a replacement.

No flywheels in the country for 10 days! Has to come from Japan. If I bought a Ferrari i could accept it , but 10 days for flywheel is crazy!

A saw a 3.0 GU flywheel completely destroyed at a local shop. They seem to be designed to be gentle, not like the TD42, which can take a hell of a pounding...

3.0's have a dual mass flywheel, complete pain in the ass when it's clutch time.
I got mine welded up and plated so it could be treated like a regular flywheel and machined

We fit an after market solid replacement and heavy duty clutch to these.
No more dual mass junk with its rubbery feeling takeup and a decent clutch which all works out cheaper than using the genuine junk, from memory the genuine D/M flywheel is pretty expensive..

After 2 weeks, Nissan have put a new flywheel and clutch in under warranty. The people at the Service department at Brighton Nissan and Nissan customer care treat us with disrespect and think were morons!

That is bad business sense. Buying a new vehicle is on the last of my things to do list as many have this attitude when it comes to warranties.

Nicks performance clutches do complete clutch n flywheel conversions to suit 3l in brisbane 07 3277 9403 (they do awsome td42 clutch as well) flywheel is cnc machined from 4340 high tensile billet n from memory they r fairly cheap aswell
