Temp guage question. Early 80s Troopy

Looking for clarification on an '83 Troopy 2H diesel temp guage please.
Note the truck has a 4 speed g/box.
Where or what is the half way mark on these guages. Is it the line over towards the H position or is it the imaginary unmarked line half way between C & H in the large open area between C & that next line to the right.
On the freeway last Saturday driving home after picking it up, & doing 90 to 95 kph the needle mostly sat a little to the left of the imaginary half way mark as shown by the BLUE line. Pic below.
The green line shows about where the needle was sitting at the top of a long steepish hill (about 3 to 4 kms) & flat to the boards at 80 kph up the hill. It didn't go above this. It was a relatively hot day (mid 30's) close to midday. About a kilometre further along the road on the flat the needle was back to the blue line.
So is this good? I'm thinking of taking the radiator to get checked & having the tubes cleaned out just to be on the safe side.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
