I am having to move rentals, and weighing the options up as far houses verses flats. What i am wanting too know is there any workshop/garage space that you rent out to work on my car. It has to be secure, due too wanting too leave my tools ect. there, as well as convenient access(time and location). Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

Probably any of them storage sheds. They are secure, and you have 24/7 access. Not sure what they cost but.

yeah i priced one of those, recently , to store a boat, in , price was 100 to 120 a week. so that kinda made me shy away from it, as at that price i almost better leaving it on the road fully insured.

It might get a bit hot but if you have room, rent a container. I've got one for moving house and it cost $120 delivered and $22 a week rental for a new 20" weather-proof container.

Rent an industrial shed and live in it?

Have heard of this sort of set up in the states..

usually attached to a junkyard, however i don't think insurance/ohs make it practicable in aus... though probably many a modifier would love it.

i believe the issue with the u-stores for w'shop space is you aint allowed to do work there... besides tends to be limited power.

of course some councils are getting pretty narky about work on the car at home to... so maybe they will still start to appear.

Yeah i know of a heap of people that live in there industrial sheds. But had to search a bit for ones with say an upper mezanine floor and shower.
But once found have turned out to be great. Plus you can make all the noise you want
