gearbox oil change

when i change the oil in an automatic gearbox, should it be on full when its in gear or in park?
You might get a nasty fright otherwise

Need to shift through all gears and the trans must be at operating temp. and engine running, Best to do this with the transmission in Park You might get a nasty fright otherwise
