hey mate, there are not a real lot of inherent problems, they tend too overheat a little in soft sand and slow driving for ages, but they are a fairly tough little rig, love mine mate!

Two people i know have recently bought a 94' and the other a 95'.

Problems so far are:

- Rear diff makes a bit of noise. I could hear it while following at 100klm/hr
- Needed new discs
- Minor electrical issues with towing harness

and that's it!

genuine part prices will be not so different to late model patrol or cruiser. many can be got from jeep wreckers or specilaists like POLY 4x4 and after market parts for mods are plentiful. Some parts from Holden or even Ford fit. Engine is bullet proof, gearbox is virtually a Toyota supra one, driveline is probably its weakest point if you want to go higher than 32s.
