Brake upgrades

Looking at putting some 60 series vented rotors and calipers on my 83 gen1 lux. The standard brakes seem just ok with 33" tyres but going to 35'' tyres so i want better brakes.
My questions are do these bolt straight on to the lux spindles?,
will the original master cylinder be fine? or is the 60s bigger / better?
Want to upgrade the booster to a 80 series one to assist in pulling up the new 35" tyres aswell.
Has anyone used a 60s booster on a lux?
Thanks
Matt

do a search on V6 4 runner calipers, they will be better then 60 series ones.

v6 4runners have the bigger pistons in the calipers. How easier are these to find, also probaly dearer?
Just thought 60s would be better than whats on mine, and i can get the 60s cheap.

60`s or even mid 90`s on hilux will be better then what you have but the v6 ones will be better again.

No they don't 80 Series and v6 4runner are the same so you can use these also.
The guy at the caliper reco shop showed me them and i now have them on with braided lines and 80 series cylinder too.

Thanks for the replies, will chase some of these up.
Luxyboy what size master cylinder has the 80 got, 1" bore?
Also what did the braided lines set you back?

I always thought that the 80 callipers had a different bolt up patern?

The M/C is 1".
There are a few types.ABS , non ABS 2 bolt and 4 bolt.
Use a 80 booster and 80 M/C.
Note if are still using rear drums you will have to remove the residual valve in the 80 M/C as they were disc/disc.
Get some calipers as GUTS said , V6 runner or you can also get some Hilux turbo diesel or V6 Hilux (previous model shape)

Get the non-ABS.
They were about $160/$180. They were heaps cheaper than anyone else and he was a mobile guy; came out i chose the colour and length and he made them up on the spot. Make a heap of difference, have to be carefully the first time you drive with them on..........windscreen meet forehead

The residual valve is for the drums you have to remove it from a drum rear MC if you want to run disc rear therwise the pads will always have a bit of pressure. Not sure how you go when you go the other way if i go past the brake shop soon i'll pop in and ask.

Was thinking of getting the calipers, booster and master all from a v6 4runner. That way the master cylinder will be for disc front and drum rear.
Just have to check the booster is dual diapram?

Hey mate would make sure your brakes all work properly first.
To answer your question, yes.

I think you may find it the other way.
There is no residual for shoes. But residual for discs to stop the pads from moving to far from the rotor. If the pads move to far from rotor then the first brake application will be pushing the pads onto the rotor before they bite.Bit like "pumping the pedal"
People who do not understand brakes should not be mucking around with them.
I use 80 series non abs 2 bolt 1" M/C.
Prado booster same as 80.
Rear disc conversion using subaru calipers and 60 rear rotor.
Front calipers are IFS turbo diesel and 60 series rotor.
This seems to be a good set up for the Lux.
A full 80 series set up would be better.
Larger rotors again.
When I got the vehicle engineered it pulled over 1g running 33" tyres.
The engineer said it was very good for a hilux.
Please note that drum brakes have very good stopping power mabey even better than discs but the feel is not there and when they are full of water and crud it's all bad.
