Hey can anyone tell me if it a bad idear to put a smorkle on a 1979 hilux with a 18 motor because all i want to do is stop the motor from sucking in hot air. cheers

No bad resons at all it will help suck less dust, water ect as well mate. what was your consern it particular?

well if there is anythink i should no that will be a problem i would love to no. but my real consern is will i lose power or anythink like that.
becuase im making my own snokle out of 45mm to 50mm PVP pipe

So long as it isn't any smaller than any part of the stock air intake setup you'll be fine for power still becase there'll be no restriction to air flow

well the air box i will be putting the snokle to is about the same size if not little smaller. cheers

The factory Snork to suit a GU patrol is a perfect fit onto a series one hilux, looks much much neater than a PVC one.
You amy have some issues in the cold with your carb icing up, I know I used to in my Zuk on cold damp nights.

yeah i have seen that done be4 it looks really good im only doing the pvc pipe becuase its a cheap way 4 a snokle till i have enough cash to bye th GU snorkle
