I have been told that the datsun 260c? (that luxury 70s station wagon thingie) power streering box is almost a bolt in fit (2 bolts line up the others need redrilling) in a 2wd effie. The pitman arm needs slightly bending aswell. I dont know about 4x4 though but a Bronco mabe similar?

F trucks australia in QLD sell the 4x4 power steer boxes reco. All Aussie F100's are armstrong, only imported trucks came with factory power steer in the 70's. dunno about the later ones

He is looking for the Box, not the pump.

I understand that, I understand one of the falcon models has a suitable box, and the engine makes it easy at often the whole lot can be easily fitted including the pump

Falcon boxes are pretty much all the same, and they don't fit.

Saginaw boxes, like HQ/WB have been used in Jeep CJ's for ages, and early Toyota Crown boxes have been used in mostly 2wd F trucks.
4X4 are very different.

i will look at something like a 80 or gq power steer box as i cannot find a 260c box or pump.
I too would not pay the huge cost t convert my f250 to power steer.

Mine is an F250, and the power steer box is from a UD truck apparently a popular conversion. A power steer mob in Rocklea knows all about em!
