by this i mean choping old spring mounts, turning the rear springs around and relocating new mounts while still keeping the same wheel base. so my question is, is there any real advantage to this setup.
by the way i got this idea from "SUPERIOR ENGINEERING" as i was cruzing there site, heres a link to what im on about, its only a pic but look carefuly at the rear springs and mounts. http://www.superiorengineering.com.au/b ... rge=37&i=1
cheers scott.

i was going to do something of the same but have them turned around to push the diff back and have a 3/4 also. but i still want my long range tank so prob just go for 3/4 setup for the rear now....
p.s i dont see much to gain by turning the springs around with out the added benifit of extending the weel base

I have turned my rear leafs around to increase wheel base and departure angles on my swb MQ which is now a cab chassis ute, I had to use superior shackle mounts because the shackles became inverted, so I got some welded to the bottem of my chassis, also had to get a custom driveshaft. The thing in that picture is running superiorengineering drop shackles, if you read up on their site they say that in order to run them you have to have new shackle mounts because the old ones are in the middle of the chassis. There's alot to do with reguards to shock set-up as well, but look at flex! may be worth the effort.
