mine was a vx 2002 with 19500klms on it. the year before i bought mine they were in the 10k range apparently. I have seen many for $3500 no box but they have all been tampered with or have 100+klm. watch out for battery acid in the electricals etc as it is common as for the battery to smash over the motor then sit for weeks before the wrecker see's it. some i have seen have completely farked coils etc

I sold mine (03 Statesman motor, low kms with computer and t/b but no auto, accessories or wiring harness) a few months ago for $2800.

Sounds like there's a lot of engines out there that need a $$ spending on them, be careful.

I bought the one in my buggy for $1500 with about 60,000km on it. Came with computer and loom, had to buy alternator, injectors and coil packs.

Anyone know about rear drop sumps for these???

Yep I have one on mine.

You can get them from the US, they are a alloy sump from a Corvette LS2 (6.0L motor).

The cheaper option is to look for one from an LT1 motor. They are a regular tin sump. Another option is talk to Mercruiser who use a rear bulge sump on their marinised LS1 motors in boats.

You'll also need the oil pickup, windage tray and dipstick to go with whatever you go with.
