Super Swamper Boggers
Super Swamper TSLs

I have no experience with either..

No, the universal understanding is that TSLs are referred to as swampers, boggers are boggers, so the question is cool.

Interco Boggers
Super swamper TSLs

Lot of personal preference will be posted on here, what sort of work do you want them for? General trail or specific use?

I've got super swampers (super swamper tsl's), but would love to have a set of boggers too - perhaps for on-road driving

.

IMHO - no tyre looks as cool as the bogger :cool:

and even if they are no good offroad (for your intended application), they would have all the looks you could want for an on-road tyre

(though would probably be a bit crap on road i'm guessing)...

Most people generally accept that a swamper is a swaper and a bogger is a bogger .. very few pople have to say "nissan patrol" or "toyota landcrusier" patrol or crusier suffices's

Boggers are way cooler than swampers .. becuase the term "a bigger bogger" just rolls off the tounge ..
swampers have better lateral traction than boggers .. but nothing works in the goop like a bogger .. The swamper is probarbly a better "all round" tyre ..

Boggers are no good if you can`t spin them, for them to work best you need to be on the loud pedal.

I want 37 x 13 boggers for my lux but I just don`t the power to make them spin the way they need to, this is the only reason I only run TSL`s

i agree the bogger looks better which is why the choice is so hard

boggers look better

swampers would proberly be better for my driving and a bit cheaper

want an all round tyre for rock crawling/ mud racing/ op's course's/ a.s.c.c./ anything i can get in to

( i am not even going to get in to this petty arugument, if people r going to be that anally retentive about some simple, every day 4x4 terms)

While ever you are on the gas they will bit and not slide, but if you back of to much then yes they will slide.

Most people that have had them and didn`t like them either haven`t had the power to get them spinning or just don`t use the power they have. The ONLY person that has the power and isn`t scared to use it ,that doesn`t like boggers is Cheezy. Why doesn`t he like them? I have no farken idea :roll:

i got some boggers, see the for sale section

the lateral traction story is a load of crap well it maybe if you run them at 30+psi, but i wouldn't know as i never ran them over 20psi.

but get them down to single figures, and f#$k do they grip, and on side slopes no problem as the tyre rolls over the side lugs take over.

the only problem with them is you need to be on the peddle to steer with them and this is not always a good thing especially in tight stuff.

and if you spend to much time on the go peddle you dig really big holes, and send up really big rosters, and have lumps of s#$t the size of footy balls land on your windscreen, or roof, bonnet, or your mates

I have driven on bothe and would have to say for the mud BOGGERS and for the rocks SWAMPERS. But I did find the boggers to be real bad on greasy down slopes and found them to have no steering control.

My 2cents:
For mixed usage - TSL or better yet TSL SX...but the SX wears bloody quick and it's heavy....
For mud Boogers rule......If you have the HP....

But what's even better? Get those boggers & cut out the small lugs - supposed to REALLY kick arse then..... :twisted:

Takes a lot of balls to cut an already good tyre - and say goodbye to all that expensive rubber :cry:

I've got TSL's currently. I've got the HP to spin them too.

The bogger is good in the mud, but pretty ordinary everywhere else. the standard Tsl is where its at!

to answer your question, No! they are not made by super swamper, they are made by interco. super swamper is the model of tyre they produce.

can anyone tell me, what would be the downside of fitting a 14' bogger on an 8' rim?
I have seen 12.5s on 7s and with a 14 on an 8, the tyre is only 1/2' wider.

just weighing up my options.

i just wish i could afford the new 38" boggers. so 38 tsl's for now.
as said before the side slope thing is crap. just ask any one who has owned a set.I have seen POS on such a stupid side angle just idling a long, that he had to ask me what was that clunking sound, i told him it was just the bogger lugs folded sooo far around they were rubbing on the brake calipers. :twisted:

my 35/14.5 boggers were heaps better on really loose side slopes than my 35 simex ET's.
