So I am going to build some sliders for the 4runner. (See below)

1) What size wall should I use for the square tubing??
2) What size wall should I use for the round tubing??
3) What thickness for the brackets to attach to the chassi??

My sliders are all 75x50x3.2 and welded to the frame and take an absolute flogging and are yet to bend at all.

3mm+ sounds good, i made a t/case cross brace out of 40x40x 2mm & bent it the first time i took it out.

Then again my Cruiser is kind of heavy.

Tube and pipe thickness sounds okay (3mm) but use something like 8 or 10mm for the bracketry, make it wide also so it doesnt crimp the chassis.

I plan to use 3 supports for the runner.

i used 65mm tube with a 4mm wall for the slider, 40x40x4mm rhs for the bars goin into the chassis and 75x8mm plate clamping the chassis with 3 mounts on a single cab. little bit overkill.
they sit about 2mm away from the sill lip and they have been landed on pretty hard an never touched the sill.
