the sender could be leaking around the terminal and the wire is covered in oil and not connecting.or try earthing out the wire going to the sender and the gauge should read maximum pressure when u turn in the ignition.if the gauge moves then it will be the sender. :P

the heads are the same i rebuilt mine at 368000 and the heads had cracks in them .local wreckers supplied magna heads and they are the same.

it sounds like a broken piston ring and with that sort of milage it could be a full rebuild.did mine at 360000ks.

its probable leaking around the back of it diaphram type of cover.i cleaned mine up and then used araldit to seal it up agian then drilled a small hole in the top. if u have a close look at it u should see a glued in plug there.also use parafin oil to refill it. :P

yes u can use the magna motor but u will need to strip it down to a bear block and then reuse all your pajero parts sump,manifolds.

it dose sound like a headgasket problem it is possible to blow a gasket without getting water in the oil .have u tried retorquing the headbolts.it might help.

3lt magna heads are the same thats what i used when i rebuilt my motor with the same problem ended up at the wreckers chasing heads myself.
