The owner is a bit of a Rover nut........ We have just finished building him a Land Rover Discovery fitted with a Jaguar 4.2 Supercharged Engine and 7 speed tiptrionic gearbox. Plus in the UK it's really easy to get spares for the rover motor and the 5.0 makes an relaxed 300bhp with ease so it ...

Whilst looking through my photos from last years Ladoga Trophy Raid in Russia, I recalled that I hadn't posted any pictures of the Daihatsu that ran in TR4 Proto class. I attended the Ladoga Trophy Raid 2007 as support crew for a UK 3 car raid team. I never got a chance to speak to the crew of the ...

I welded my front diff over 12 months ago. No breakages so far. ;) It makes a huge difference to how you tackle obstacles. Climbs that you used to howl towards, can now be crawled up. Steering is heavy even with power steering. 3 point turns become 5 point turns. Due to the locked axle ...

A Rocky came 3rd in Proto class at the Ladoga Trophy Raid in Russia. The event is regarded as extremely challenging and hard on the trucks, especially in TR4 Prototype (Proto). There are usually 3 or 4 DVD's made of the event, so I suppose it will be quite famous. I tried to speak to the driver to ...

Thats pretty much what I had thought.
There is nothing available in the Uk market for the Fez, and having done a little research, the Fez Auto is as rare in the UK as Rocking Horse Sh*t.
I'll give the idea up as a bad job and move on to the next project.

I had the feeling I would be pi**ing into the wind with the idea of a gear swap. I want to keep my little Fez on the standard engine and box as every other vehicle I own 'has' or 'is' having a motor/transmission/axle swap. I've never seen a Feroza/Sportrak auto in the U.K. What ratio ...

Has anyone ever modified their Feroza transfer box? The Suzuki boys can do a conversion called a rock lobster, where they machine a couple of gears from 410 and 413 transfer boxes, so that they get a far better low ratio whilst retaining a good high ratio for road use. Did the Fez ever come with ...

 Yes I've got a snorkel sorted. I can't fit it till I've fab'd up the external rollcage, so its sat on the floor at the moment. I was thinking of using a bit of adhesive silicone sealant around where the plug lead washers meet the cam cover to stop the plugs swiming in water till it ...

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to move the ECU above the heater as suggested and put it in a box anyway as most of the wading over here on play days is 4ft deep as standard! The non drying silicone inside all the connectors is a great idea. The rear of my truck will fill up nice and quick as I ...

Apart from the obvious snorkel, what has everyone done to stop the wet stuff from spoiling a bit off deep wading? I have extended the gearbox and diff breather hoses etc, but my main worry is the sparkplug tubes in the head and the position of the factory ECU and fusebox under the dash. I was ...
