We had a 3litre GU & retroed to a swb GQ, there's not that much between the cars except that the GU was a waste of way too many dollars.

Yeah, last year when we were coming home, there were about 7 or 8 waterfalls to be seen coming down the range.

Well, we won't be going. The Big One was driving the patrol to work yesterday. She was about halfway therer (Bardon to Alderley) when she noticed the temp gauge needle was on the H. What does she do? She drives home? Gotta love teenagers!

I will be driving a n/a diesel hilux, hooning is out of the question.

A friend of ours has a 350 in his GQ/Maverick. When he starts his car the house shakes, and he's parked down the road!

Just think, any time Today Tonight or ACA run an anti 4wd story they will actually be promoting the club.

What, you guys don't know how to drive in a QZ? Or have night run organisers not been putting them on the maps lately? How many night runs have you guys done? What do you mean 'what is a hoon section'?

Are there any hoon sections? didn't get to have a decent hoon at the SC gymkhana so need to get out dor a decent drive.

You get the CTP, have a filled out reistration form in the vehicle, you can then drive it to the safety cert. place, then to Qld Trans.

Not quite as good as koni's, but pretty close.
But I must qualify that in that I used to have koni's on the suzi which was highly modified for off-road racing & use the pro-comps on the gq which is stock standard.
And I live with the fashion police, so brand names are everything!

We bought our engel (ARB) 40lt because of our neighbours having had an engel for over 15 years, & it has survived numerous trips to the cape, canning stock route & general 4 wheeling. We mainly use ours on our little yacht & find it very good with battery consumption.

have to agree... people not taking responsability for there own actions and insurance hassles because of it have ruined so many competitions, 4wd parks and access to a lot of areas that it makes it very hard to run anything at all without the fear of losing everything you have.

I got into suzis through my partner. Our first suzi was Sasha, then there was Jessie, then my girl Becky. We have a GQ now but it just doesn't seem to have a persona like zooks do so just gets called the pootrol.

Thanx Andy, we had a great nite. Didn't attempt any checkpoints but it was interesting watching those that did. Suffered some carnage..bent the steering arm big time & a log tried to push its way into the car via the passenger sill.
