Dana 25 10 spline - Lockright - no problem, a pig to drive in heavy mud with no power steering

Dana 44 19 spline rear - Detroit 'No Spin' locker, comes in with a bang sometimes when it was new 18 mths ago but no probs.

Pretty hard to break them with 90 hp [optimistic]

Autos are very rare in off road vehicles here in Indonesia. Apparently they don't like being operated in 0.5 to 1 metre deep water for long periods which we do here on most trips.

Anyone had experiences with submerging an auto ?

ive got a pretty healthy 202 and trimatic with a 4200rpm converter and a vitara case in front of it and no probs smokin' 38s (all 4)


In what vehicle ?

I'm surprised no one has dropped a Holden V6 into a Zook as it would be an awesome set up.

Budi , the guy that owns it , has a steel fabrication business so the frame is hot dip galvanized and everywhere you look the workmanship is top rate.

He seems more busy working on other Land Rovers now rather than working on real jobs
