I've also been looking into turbo kits for the TD42, I haven't set my mind on a turbo manifold yet, but I've found an intake manifold that I like.

My TD42 was doing the same thing, they thought it was air but turned out to be dirt in the injectors.

Re: What patrol for max power ?

Looking at getting a gu Patrol, but am undecided on what engine to get. I want Max power, the more the better, and I don't mind modding it too the max, but i'd like to keep it sane at the bowser... say economy of around 15l per 100km in most conditions. Hey mate, Max power and 15ltrs/100km don't go ...

Re: Locrite Lockers.

We have auto lockers fitted to a couple of our 4WDs, no problems, and both the 4WDs stay in 2WD more often due to the fact the auto lockers are very effective. Power doesn't seem to affect them. 1979 Jeep Wagon with a 460ci with over 1500nm of torque 1982 MQ SWB with a 351 with 440HP Both run 33 mud ...

I've had a similar problem on my previous patrol, turned out to be air in the fuel line, filled the tank up and never had the problem again.

Re: To diff breath or not to diff breath?

Hey Gleno....you're aware that your Patrol already HAS diff breathers aren't you??? Rear diff breather goes up into a chassis cross member....recommended to extend that up onto the firewall. Transfer/gearbox and front diff go up into a T feed and into left front guard. Hey twodiffs, where abouts in ...

Re: patrol handbrake issues

assuming that the vehicle has a rear locker or tight LSD, if the handbrake is fitted on the tailshaft and is on, neither rear wheel should turn, regardless of whether one or both wheels are in the air or on the ground and doesn't matter whether or not the transmisson is in gear... at least that is ...

Re: 2003 Hilux Problem

Pajeros transfer case has the option of full time on road 4x4 with an unlocked transfer case (like 200 series cruisers), as well as a locked off road 4x4 setting, i.e, a locked transfer. Plus they also have a rear wheel 2wd only option as well. With any hilux or patrol, driving on road in 4wd with ...

Re: 150l/min 12v compressors on ebay

I also have one of the 12 volt (112ltrs per min) compressors from Tradetools. Had it for about 3-4 months, works awesome. Plently of air to pump up mine & my mates tyres (32" and 33") and run a rattle gun. Pressure cut out is at about 140psi and turns back on at around 100psi. It can be regulated ...
