Yeah definitely is the a/c fan, happened again and i let it run for a while to see if it turned itself off but after 5 minutes it hadnt. I'm not sure why it does it, as I hadnt even had the a/c on at all. Like I said, its turns off once i turn the ignition over so it doesn't bother me, but I am ...

Hi all,

i own a 2001 td5 and a couple of times lately, after i have turned off the car, the intercooler fan(i assume there is one, its not the radiator fan) keeps running. When i put the keys back in and turn the ignition to Stage 2 it stops. Is this normal? i cant imagine it would cause any ...

Do you know if your HJ61 has an external regulator to the alternator?

The HJ60 has one. When my reg started to die, it wouldnt charge very well and the dash lights used to come on randomly....

It could also be the diodes in the back of the alternator. Quite often when they get covered in mud ...
