Sort of went as far as I wanted to go with it. I seriously thought of SAS front but the missus put an end to those thoughts. Didn't think of an angle grinder as a precision tool.

Well I'm still a Isuzu owner. Cruiser has been delayed yet another month due to not enough production capacity or some other B\S. So now it's looking like October delivery. Isn't there a global recession going on and no one can sell cars?? Beginning to like my Jack again so might just keep it. I ...

Well the time has come to join the dark side!! After 10+ years of Isuzu ownership I have brought a Toyota. We ordered a new 79 series c\chassis GXL with front and rear diff locks. Should have it in about 12 weeks. So the Jack is on the market and if I don't sell it private it will be traded. It is ...

Yeah, it is a engine heater. It also closes a flap in the exhaust that directs air thru the EGR for quicker warm up. Also ups the idle speed slightly. Once the engine is at normal temp the system shuts down.

I remember seeing a modified alt on some CAT service Landcruisers a few years back. These had different windings in them so they could operate as a welder and as an alt. I think they were manufactured in S.A.
I will try to find more info.

My '03 has 2+" of lift, no rear sway bar and 32x11.5x15 Pro Comp Muds on 15x8 Rockcrawler Ds. No scrubbing on the body. These things are one of the most under rated 4x4s around.

Look for the earths for the headlights. The reason you are finding power from all parts of the plug on the headlights is because one will be the +ve supply and the other two will be the high and low filiments looking looking for a ground. The dip switch switches these to ground. If you have changed ...

Inspect the contacts in the wand first. They can be cleaned sometimes. They get carbon deposits on the contacts in the wand from arcing. These contacts can be damaged by having high wattage globes in the headlights too.

The core up front is the condenser. The one under the dash is the evaporator. Maybe a slight blockage in the system somewhere, maybe Receiver\ dryer. Or if the rattle is under the dash (evap core), maybe the TX valve or equivalent has a problem.

Don't really know. Would maybe depend on how much fuel\oxygen is in the tank.
This vehicle had not run on petrol for a long time.

The fuel pump runs all the time to keep the injectors and fuel rail cool and to keep the pump from seizing. EFI vehicles must start on petrol to pass regulations (In Vic at least) Early systems did have an override to start on LPG but these may not exist anymore. Been a while since I've done LPG ...
