Re: Modding a 91 Vitara 2 door.
Clearly not.
We're thinking about transferring all the mods from our 2 Door to a Grand Vitara. So dose anyone know if everything will fit? Ie: Diff's, suspension

Re: Modding a 91 Vitara 2 door.
Well the lockers worked very well. In fact I'll never own a 4X4 with out lockers fitted. However going flat out over big bumps took it's toll. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/VLT_RB30/91%20Suzuki%20Vitara/IMG_1011_zpsde586026.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/VLT_RB30/91%20Suzuki ...

Re: Modding a 91 Vitara 2 door.
Ok, I have more questions... hehee The Diff center I have is from a 2004 Grand. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/VLT_RB30/91%20Suzuki%20Vitara/xl711_zps1e96e9f1.jpg So the mounting bracket for the diff center is different to the 91 Alloy center. This is the mounting for the 2004. http://img ...

Re: Modding a 91 Vitara 2 door.
Ok, went to the wreckers this morning and picked up a steel housing. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/VLT_RB30/91%20Suzuki%20Vitara/DSCN3596_zpsd10a02c7.jpg Unfortunately they also supplied a Alloy diff center. So will have to go back swap it for the steel one. I'm getting ARB Lockers fitted so ...

Re: Modding a 91 Vitara 2 door.
Thank you mate... Time means more then money. When I get back next week I'll try and track down a steel XL7 diff and housing. If Calmini hasn't got back to me on a delivery date time. As for the "paint tin" unless it falls off, not really that concerned about it or the looks of the Vitara. I brought ...

Re: Power plant for a Hilux!?!
Ok, well I'll be picking up the kit tomorrow. Then track down the engine mounts and wiring kit.
Now the next question.
I want to fit another transfer case so I have 2. Is this easy done? and is it worth it?

Re: Power plant for a Hilux!?!
Ok, I have found a complete bell-housing conversion kit. Comes with shafts and all for $350.
My concerns is the add says it's for a 1988-1989, however he is unsure. But surly the gearboxes wouldn't be that different?
O, this is for a V6 conversion....

Re: Power plant for a Hilux!?!
The Lux will be used to go wheeling more then just driving around town (the VZ is the daily drive). Would re building the 3y - e that is fitted to the Lux ATM be a good option? Or just wait till it gives out and then do a motor exchange? I'm asking this as it seams to get up to the speed limit ATM ...

Power plant for a Hilux!?!
What is the best power plant for a 85 Hilux? Be it ULP or Diesel.
No need in saying V6 or V8. Already priced them, and I ain't going that over board on something that is going to get damaged/written Off...

Re: Well Body for Hilux
Thanks guys..
If I can't find another 85 then I'll get a quote on fixing up the one I have. Then make a decision from there. As it will be use as a 4x4 I'm expecting dents, scratches etc etc

I have a rusted well body that need replacing.
It's a 85 model. Can I use earlier or later models to replace it?

Naa not a spanner. It has started since the sup and b/l went in, so I have been over the whole set up a few times. It's not the exhaust. The noise is like a steal cable taping somthing, like a flag pole, gets worse as you put your foot down in gear. I can't see any cables, wires ect hiting the tail ...
