If I were to get a snorkel, change out to a good air filter and have a good exhaust fitted would I have any noticeable gains? What sort of exhaust setup would you advise?
Cheers
Mitch

Check ut Toyo Opats. They are great on the road and in mild 4wd use. They are made in Japan, wear very well and are a good price. I was using Michelin Synchrones as road tyres and the tyre guys said that the Toyos would be better in every department than the Michelins and they have been correct at ...

Which A/T tyres?
My current tyres are worn out and I need a new set.
I drive on the beach occasionally, rarely offroad but sometimes (plan to go on a trip later this year) and mainly on the tarmac.
I want something that will last 60-80,000k+ hopefully.
Size required LT265/70R16 for my Navara D22 DX.
Cheers

Pirelli Scropians Vs. Mickey Thompson Wildcat?
I can't find the Wildcat's on the MT site but they are an A/T tyre.
The Pirellis are $225 a tyre for 265/70R16 and $245 for a MT Wildcat in same size.
Can't decide what to get?

Wheels for D22 Navara
I found some cool 8" wide wheels with 0 offset, will these suit my D22 Navara? The seller tells me they will. I have standard guards, is there anyway to check? I guess if the wheels are 0 offset and I want to put on 9.8 inch tyres I can safely measure 4.9" from the mounting point and see if this ...

Intercooling a D22 DX?
Just wondering how hard it would be and would it give a noticeable boost in torque? Would it be hard to come by a ZD30 intercooler off a Patrol at a wreckers? And what could I expect the whole project to cost me? And is it just a simple matter of extending the pipes down to the front, mount the ...

My brother bought this car today, but he hasn't noticed it in the past few test drives before buying it. But I have a bit more knowledge than him and if you let the clutch out at idle speed (approx 750rpm) or a bit above it has a bad shudder, if you rev it upto 1k+ then let the clutch out it's fine ...

I have a TD42 GQ Patrol We had BFG AT now have MT FCII, the FCII are great, heaps better performance on and offroad then the BFG AT. The tyrepower dealer that I got them through are doing the 80000 warranty thing also, but as with coopers you have to get them balanced and rotated by a dealer. Next ...

The price they gave you is about retail Just rang my local dealer, they are just around the corner. He quoted $242 (balanced and fitted per tyre) for FCII's in 31x10.5/15 and about $70 per black 15x8 sunraysia wheel. He said no MT dealer can sell tyres cheaper as they have a price agreement across ...

Re: tray protection
if you ring a company in tamworth called OBIECO body builders they have a black plastice cover strip for the top of he side boards, reasonably priced, also by putting a rubber matt on a steel tray causes rust as the tray sweats. i would rather every 12 months re spray the tray floor than have rust ...
