Bump steer with 4 inch lift?
I have had a six inch lift in my GQ for the past 7 or so years and it isnt too bad to drive on or off road. In addition to plenty of hard stuff, it has seen the Simpson twice as well as Cape York. Its driveability was mainly due to the very firm coil rate that I went with, which limits the body roll ...

Amp-Hours from a std battery?
Seems as though no one lists the Ah capacity for their cranking batteries.
Does anyone have an idea of how many Ah you would typically get from your standard large 4WD battery — like a 700CCA Centaury N70ZZL or something similar?
Just trying to decide wether I should buy a deep cycle for my ...

I have had one of the cheaper 'Lokka' lockrights in my GQ for around 7 or 8 years. Yes, you have to drive accordingly as the torque steer is annoying on general dirt road driving. For touring the Lokka sux as high range 4x4 is useless in most cases (due to the tight steering).

Yep, I'd be interested if the price was realistic.
I have a front mounted intercooler and last week fitted some aluminium mesh across the front of it (the stuff that you can get from Supercheap for $30).
I swear that after this my truck was noticably slower. Removed the mesh and exposed the cooler ...

Recomended Rim Width Legalities?
I have my car engineered in NSW with 12.5" wide BFG tyres on 8" rims.
While this is on my papers, I realise that most manufacturers (Goodyear/BFG etc.) give a recommended minimum rim width of 8.5" which is not legal for my rig.
Cooper seems to be the only one who list 12.5" tyres as being OK on 8 ...

35" MTR Pricing (Sydney/South Coast)
Soon I will need to buy a new set of 35 x 12.5 x 15 Goodyear MTR's.
What have people been paying for them (Sydney/Wollongong areas)?
Any really good deals to be found at the moment?
Cheers
John

Re: I'm Gunking this up with Nissan pics
Just fitted a largish (600x300x76) front-mount intercooler. I used to have 12psi at the manifold, now with all of the plumbing it has dropped to 10 or 10.5psi at the same point (the wastegate actuator is turbo mounted).
So my front mount has lost me 1.5 to 2psi — not bad really. I would guess ...

Pretty crap, can't see much above 80kp/h with my Autotechnica wheel. You have to look around it to see the temp and fuel as well.Red_MAv wrote:SO, how do these smaller wheels go when trying to view the instrument cluster?

Leaf or Coil GQ - same CV's?
Does anyone know if a 96 model leaf sprung GQ ute uses the same CV's as a coil GQ wagon?
