I converted my 45 ute about a year ago. Had to get a later model 40 or 45 diff housing with the 5 bolt pattern. I got hold of an old 60 series truck and pinched the backing plates with all the handbrake stuff and cable. Had to lenghten the cable to the cab by 750mm and shorten the cable between the ...

dash 45
there are two lugs on cluster that hook over the bottom edge. Prise the top awayfrom the dash about 10-15mm and try and slide the whole thing skyward a little and then pull out.

A friend has just got himself a 09/95 patrol wagon and we dont know if it is a GU, GQ etc. Sorry for the dumb question but have a toyota background and have no idea.
