Id think you would want something with a bit more weight than a Navara. Ive towed my hilux a few times with my navara and yeh it pulls it along no worries but the weight of the hilux [single cab] plus its height on a car trailer makes it not all that safe. For reference the dual cab d22 navara ...

I thought that might be the case with the pump.

Wonder how much the injectors can handle then, any idea?

Limits of ZD30 diesel pump?

Anybody know what the limits are of the diesel pump on a ZD30?
At what power level or flow would it give up the ghost?

Yeh i just had a look and it is the triangular on the airbox side.
I could still cut and shut that pipe so it meets up or make a replacement one out of ally.
Safari one is too expensive

Yeh mate it sure does if it fits how i think it does.
Im assuming the rubber hose joins the snorkel thru the guard and the plastic pipe goes straight to the airbox with the Pre-filter removed?

If that is how it goes it will fit in mine no probs

For those of you with a VDO boost gauge how does the hose fit to the back of the gauge? I have had mine sitting in the box for a few months and just got it out to fit it but the hose doesnt seem to get compressed in the back to hold it in... Is the olive supposed to go completely inside the back of ...

D40 is same 2.5 as the 08 D22 but it has 30kW more, i guess it may be running lower boost.
At 98kW its also 12kW less than the non intercooled ZD30 D22 but i suspect it would have a truckload better drivability.

Why would it? The ZD30 is coming near the end of its lifespan in passenger vehicles as it is now an old tech motor (despite the CRD revision). The YD25 has replaced the ZD30 in most passenger vehicles around the world. The little ZD now only resides in big vehicles like the patrol, small trucks and ...

I have had front mount intercooler on my D22 for about 2 years, it is easy to do and there is a few ways to go about it. Total cost under $150 On a hot day or after long periods of stop start driving where you get a lot of heat soak under the bonnet it helps alot to keep the power levels up. Front ...

Had the exact same problem a while back, it was the 2 bolts behind the shock that connect the shock tower to the chassis.
Car would dive to one side under brakes and crab to one side at low speed.

My local mobil seems to get a fair few vehicles thru the diesel pump so im gunna stick with them for a few weeks.
The current tank of diesel from Caltex is giving a bit higher fuel consumption and more fuel smoke is noticeable than the last tank from BP.
