Hi all, I have just fininshed prepairing my fj45 body for painting. I have a panel/box section U chanell that bolts on across the back of the cab just under tray height. What is it for and do I really need to put it back on as I want a clean look on the outside ?? Thanks for any help on this part ...

because a complete vn commodore with engine, box, ecu. pump, wiring is 300$.

Hi all, I am wanting to fit aircon into an fj45 ute. I DON'T want to buy the old under dash unit. I am hoping to fit one from out of a doner car at the wreckers. I am thinking of pulling out the current heater unit from under the dash and putting in a complete heater/aircon from something else ...

IN24BZ is correct. I have a 2003 GU III TI 4.8Lt and it has factory rear locker as standed.

I spoke to another goodyear autocare today and was told that mud tyres are not included and the tyres MUST be instock at that store.

I am wanting torque not speed and gas will be used most of the time. I have had the heads rebuilt for gas and I am puting in a mild stage 1 cam. It is being bored 0.030 over, it will also run 4 into 1 extractors and have a five speed box behind it. The ute has 35" tyres.

Go for it. If you do it right you won't get a better 4x4 in my opinion. You can add all the options you want if you know how and this web site will give you all the info you need to build it. I am currently build one similar but with a 5lt ford GT engine.

I did mine with spatter paint.. Ive heard a few times that Rhino paint comes off after a while. I have just had my fj45 body sandblasted. I want to paint the floor with a good sealer of some type. I DON"T want to put in any carpet, just use a textured floor paint. Any suggestions on what to use.

Got the body back today. Not much rust. Cost $300 to sand blast all body panels.
