ditch the jeep body for a more mitsubishi style and you'd be on a winner

Re: PA Challenger Caliper/Rotor Options
Hi Fis, I'm 99% sure 2002-2006 4wd MK triton twin pot brakes will fit your car, but you'll have to upgrade your rotor size from 270mm to 314mm from the same car to suit. On a downside, 15" rims will no longer fit. I think I have a spare set in the garage, but I think it'd be a fair walk for you to ...

Hi FIS, what size rotors are on your challenger at the moment? as there are 2 different sizes and you may have the smaller ones fitted.

Re: PA Challenger Diff ratio options
Hi FIS, I would imagine you would want shorter gearing to help push the 33's on the highway, & also slow things down a bit off road? as going from 4.63 to 4.17 will make it harder to hold top gear on the highway and speed things up even more off road. The MK triton diffs are interchangeable and a ...

Re: Challenger Manual Conversion
I did this conversion on my 03 triton V6 recently, should be pretty similar had the box, transfer, drive shafts & flywheel sitting in my shed from a 99 triton, got a clutch pedal with master cylinder, clutch line & slave cylinder from the wreckers for 20 bucks bought a new clutch kit, approx 300 ...

Re: Common rail Dual cabs for towing
I'm not quite sure which 4.2t wagon you have, but if it's an 80 series or something coily then you will be taking a backwards step in comfort if you hop into a leaf sprung ute. I don't own one of the new td utes myself but have towed a fair bit with a td hilux auto, on long highway hills which would ...

Re: 1996 NJ 6G74 converted to the 6G72?
grab a low k magna 6g74 from the wreckers for pittance in comparison on price, f@ck... you get a whole TH magna with the motor for 2k nowadays, there is minimal block difference, from memory you'll need to add one hole for the crank angle sensor and maybe a little timing cover adjustment. bolt ...

I wound up the front torsions, did nothing to the rear and I fit 33x12.5x15s without scrubbing http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/7126/image042b.jpg So I can imagine you could do the same but if you are running 16's the equivalent would be around a 305/70R16 (33x12.5x16), or you could go a 285/75R16 ...

That seems like a great price for 35's, these tyres are good too, they are exactly the same as the maxxis buckshot tyres and I mean exactly, I have a set of each and have inspected both with a fine tooth comb and the only difference I can find is in the sidewall print. I am looking for a new set of ...

you are right with your last post tritontray, same thing, as the spline is the same at either end and the rods are reversible... at least in the mitsis they are when you actually perform the job you may find, like me, the front slips out easier than the rear hanger, and it gives you an extra handle ...

Swaddo, if you're using say 24L of lpg per 100 kays at say 0.43c per litre ( which is the last price I paid for it ) that means that it cost you $10.32 to drive 100 kays. For your car to be costing you less than $1 per 100 kays more to run on petrol you must be getting around 9.1 litres per 100 kays ...

Mr_ra23, on your 05 triton I'm pretty sure you will have to get 16" rims as the front brakes are bigger than my 99 triton in the pic, well that's what I had to do for my other 03 triton anyway. I have wound the torsion bars in both, there is no real need to ever replace the standard torsion bars as ...

going from 31 to 33 inch tyres with lengthen your overall gearing by about 5%, that's 5% higher or faster at any given rev in any gear, high or low ratio. If you can live with that then you'll be fine, if you want to gear it down you can possibly get lower ratio diffs, you'll need both front and ...
