Re: PA Challenger Caliper/Rotor Options

Hi Fis, I'm 99% sure 2002-2006 4wd MK triton twin pot brakes will fit your car, but you'll have to upgrade your rotor size from 270mm to 314mm from the same car to suit. On a downside, 15" rims will no longer fit. I think I have a spare set in the garage, but I think it'd be a fair walk for you to ...

Re: PA Challenger Diff ratio options

Hi FIS, I would imagine you would want shorter gearing to help push the 33's on the highway, & also slow things down a bit off road? as going from 4.63 to 4.17 will make it harder to hold top gear on the highway and speed things up even more off road. The MK triton diffs are interchangeable and a ...

Re: Common rail Dual cabs for towing

I'm not quite sure which 4.2t wagon you have, but if it's an 80 series or something coily then you will be taking a backwards step in comfort if you hop into a leaf sprung ute. I don't own one of the new td utes myself but have towed a fair bit with a td hilux auto, on long highway hills which would ...

Re: 1996 NJ 6G74 converted to the 6G72?

grab a low k magna 6g74 from the wreckers for pittance in comparison on price, f@ck... you get a whole TH magna with the motor for 2k nowadays, there is minimal block difference, from memory you'll need to add one hole for the crank angle sensor and maybe a little timing cover adjustment. bolt ...

DK, a set of -22mm cruiser offset rims in 15" may not foul the brakes but they will increase your scrub radius and foul on your guards, where a 16" rim with 0 to -12mm offset with the same size tyre will clear all round.

you are right with your last post tritontray, same thing, as the spline is the same at either end and the rods are reversible... at least in the mitsis they are when you actually perform the job you may find, like me, the front slips out easier than the rear hanger, and it gives you an extra handle ...

they both go different ways, it is very easy to see when you remove them, from memory I think the left gets shifted anticlockwise and right clockwise when re-indexing.

For your car to be costing you less than $1 per 100 kays more to run on petrol you must be getting around 9.1 litres per 100 kays ...

Hi muscles, the gearbox issues were with the 2.8 diesel engines, the v6 boxs are good.

The one thing I have had fail on 2 of the v6 tritons I have owned is a windscreen wiper motor on each.

+200k vehicles of any make and model will require a certain amount of upkeep and maintenance.
