i recently purchased a GU, upgrade from a GQ. GU has stock 16 inch rims, i want to change them. My question is do 15 inch rims fit?? Will they clear the brakes?? Only asking as seems like every rim i find is 15 inch.....

mate.... it might not be the answer, but check or replace your panhard rod bushes and steering damper bushes. my mate had same problem but he runs 37's, he replaced everything except this but no fix, until someone from snake racing told him to replace bushes on panhard rod and steering damper ...

Does the EL have to be ex-chaser?? I found an EL alternator which is 100amp and the guy said he'll give it to me for $50. What did you mean by "only needs the mount to be ground out a little"?? I want to buy it if it suits me but dont want to waste $50 for nothing, especially when i can rebuild mine ...

is it just me or is that stub axel upside down
........Yeah, its in wrong position. While taking it off i remembered i was suppposed to be taking pics, so i just pushed it back in and took photo. I was careless and didn't put back properly....Maybe thats how Drive shaft got damaged??

My progress...
Pulling the tyre off revealed that rim had damaged the brake caliper.....

Also the hub and disc would need to be replaced as they were damaged as well....

After much thought, i decided to try and do the bearings myself. I was able to source both front bearings plus a swivel hub seal rebuild kit for $300 in total.
