sounds like the line going from the compressor housing to the wastegate is cut/split so your car is boosting to atmospheric pressure. Dont drive the car like this. dont let the boost build above what it was tuned to (5psi). Anything over that can blow your motor if you dont have the right air ...

if yours is a 90mdl then its a sJ70 (no such thing as an st70 :) ) Easiest way to tell when i spot a sierra on the road, is looking at the wheel arch flares. The widetrack ones are body coloured and about 4"? wide, the narrow track flares are little black rubber ones, about 1" wide. the widetracks ...

i ran them with no lift for awhile. just need to trim the front bumper brackets. i trimmed them and moved the standard tin bumper about 20mm forward. most people seem to cut them right off, but i wanted to refit the stock bar and i needed it to be roadworthy.

1.8, are you talking about the 7AFE motor?

if so, it will be nearly exactly the same as fitting a 4age (1.6), which has been done plenty of times. read up on the swap. you will most likely have to run the corolla g/box (t50) and make mounts/setup the efi etc. its alot of work.

If you JUST had it rebuilt and this is one of your first drives, then some oil blow by would be normal. but if you have 1000+kms on the motor and it has done this, then i'd say the rings havnt bedded in properly.
