how bout sourcing some h/t M12 'fine' booker bar and making your own bolts (studs) up? It would probably be cheaper than $60, and you could cut it into what ever lengths you need I did get a price on some all thread bar, it was a meter length and about $90. might find it cheaper some where but i di...

The right bolts for front of GU are $60 posted australia wide Is $60 dollars for all the bolts or just the front 2. If only the front 2 i still need the other 2 bolts for the center mounts (its cab chassis) which i couldn't get either. The back ones have no captive nut. or will the front ones maybe...

gu body lift bolts

So i need to get bolts for a 50mm body lift and the gu has captive nuts and they are fine thread 1.25 pitch 12mm, so i was trying to find bolts to suit. I rang around all the local bolt shops and no one has anything long enough (190mm for the front) in the right pitch. Does any one know where i migh...

I had a starter problem with my gq td42, took me a long time to figure out. it was real sluggish like yours to start, but when i tested the starter off the car it worked fine. Then i put a new starter on it and problem was fixed.
So it could be your starter.

gq and gu tranfers?

hi
does anyone know if a gq TD42 transfer case is the same as a 1999-2000 gu dx coil cab TD42 turbo. Did a fair bit of searching but couldnn't find any specific info saying if they are the same or not.

turbo engineering

I have a mate who is looking at a gq patrol to buy and it has an aftermarket turbo and when he asked if it was engineered he was told that when you turbo a diesel in NSW it doesnt need to be engineered. Does anyone know if this is true or not. I would have thought it needs to be engineered. Thanks A...

those plans are good but isnt the bolt pattern for the cross member around the wrong way. the smaller distance between the bolts should be towards the back of the box.

Thanks for the drawing, much appreciated. I think that would be cheaper than guard trimming. More Q's though sorry - why two different sizes of spacer? does anyone have a photo of these in place? its hard to explain but the big one spaces the arm forward and the smaller one stops the nut from being...

Does any 4wd places have them?
With my set up I have no probs with 35's just a little bit close when turning on front guards.

I've got 4 inch, no body lift and run 37's. With a bit more guard trimming I could definitely run 39's as bogged said. You will wheel much better with the reduction transfer gears with whatever tyres you choose, so do the gearing and then get the 37's, you will not regret it. so how much ...
