Thanks Scott, But no, it's very odd, can play up one day, then run fine the next. I've replaced the fuel filter thinking it was that for the idling, air filter hit with the air compressor, all the plugs are nice and white, and I've hit most of the electrical connections with WD40. Thinking perhaps ...

3ltr V6 Playing up.

I've got a '94 NJ J-top, with the 3 ltr V6, and it's playing up like a bugger. Overheats, then doesn't. Idles fine, then doesn't.

Anyone have any thoughts on where to look?
Head gaskets? Water pump?

What should I be looking for?

I was just outside having a look, couldn't really tell much. I was going to jack it up but it's a little chilly so I'll have a play tomorrow. Where do the air lines for the hubs connect to the diff? I read in another thread that you mentioned most people change the hubs to manual when installing an ...

No, I should've said. This happens even on loose gravel and mud.

And yes, the car is reletively new to me in the last 6 months. Before I had it nothing was modified and the woman that owned it lived in Canberra and didn't take it off-road.

Pajero Front Diff Steering Problems

I'm really no expert on this, so maybe someone can help out. Been through and read every Mitsubishi post and nothing really covers it. My 94 NJ manual, SWB is really playing up when in 4WD. 2H is fine, but if I put it in 4H (or 4HLc and 4LLc) the front wheels chirp and skid, as well as throwing the ...

it was a while back, perhaps 98,99? there was a bloke in Queanbeyan NSW built up a MOG into a camper. Unsure of the details, but I would ride past daily going to work and watch this thing "Evolve"! Now that is a fantastic looking way to tour Oz :D You're not wrong! Thanks for clearing that up,
it's just I had it in my mind, with a cars negative castor, the front wheels would have a tendency to "flop" in the opposite direction, interesting.

I guess the designer of the A-frame system really had a cars steering physics and geometry in his favour then!

most of the A-frame manufacturers I've looked up use an adjustable cable system to the brake pedal of the car.

maybe they pick up the front wheels and simply treat the car as a trailer. can't use a awd car for this though. That's a Dolly system when they do that, and some states don't allow that method as they classify the car and the "Dolly" as two separate trailers, in other words, the dolly has to be ...

I've seen heaps of motor homes come through town here with cars on an A-frame setup, and I've always been puzzled as to how they're set up for braking and steering. oh I understand your point but you must be careful with the Religion analogy as if you knew anything about history you would know that what you said is flawed. Perhaps the Tornado Fuel Saver might work better if you fitted an Energy Polarizer aswell? http://sve.net.au/prodimages/thumbs/pol1.jpg.jpg

if you need to check what the problem is with oil consumption, a compression test is the best. Buy a compression guage, about $15 at supercheap, and test each cylinder.
