Thanks Scott, But no, it's very odd, can play up one day, then run fine the next. I've replaced the fuel filter thinking it was that for the idling, air filter hit with the air compressor, all the plugs are nice and white, and I've hit most of the electrical connections with WD40. Thinking perhaps ...

3ltr V6 Playing up.
I've got a '94 NJ J-top, with the 3 ltr V6, and it's playing up like a bugger. Overheats, then doesn't. Idles fine, then doesn't.
Anyone have any thoughts on where to look?
Head gaskets? Water pump?
What should I be looking for?

I was just outside having a look, couldn't really tell much. I was going to jack it up but it's a little chilly so I'll have a play tomorrow. Where do the air lines for the hubs connect to the diff? I read in another thread that you mentioned most people change the hubs to manual when installing an ...

Pajero Front Diff Steering Problems
I'm really no expert on this, so maybe someone can help out. Been through and read every Mitsubishi post and nothing really covers it. My 94 NJ manual, SWB is really playing up when in 4WD. 2H is fine, but if I put it in 4H (or 4HLc and 4LLc) the front wheels chirp and skid, as well as throwing the ...

it was a while back, perhaps 98,99? there was a bloke in Queanbeyan NSW built up a MOG into a camper. Unsure of the details, but I would ride past daily going to work and watch this thing "Evolve"! The money he put into it must have been phenominal, 6WD I think, chequer-plate all over, purple cab ...

Now that is a fantastic looking way to tour Oz :D You're not wrong! How brilliant would that be, cruise nice and steady to wherever you like, then wander off in the hills somewhere remote, chuck a line in, nab a Barra or Trout... cruise back home to camp, smoke or bake that aqua trophy, feast upon ...

I've seen heaps of motor homes come through town here with cars on an A-frame setup, and I've always been puzzled as to how they're set up for braking and steering. Reading through those links, there's really no info as to how it works. Are the brakes set up to work as an electric unit? and what do ...

I wonder with the channels this much closer, would there be much splatter carried over? (I'm no radio techie!) But I remember back when AM was all the rage, we had terrible problems with it, particularly if a side band user was near by. Or one of the new flash truckies with the new (back then!) UHF ...

I'd actually steer clear of Dobinsons. Now I might upset some people, and I'm sure plenty of people are happy with them, but I worked for Dobinsons in their spring factory here in Rockhampton about 2 years ago. As far as the springs go, both coil and leaf, I'd have to say top stuff! The machining ...

I'd like to know if you can operate any air tools from a tank that size too...... got a mate with one, about 25l shaped like a donut, might go over tomorrow and test his out for these things. As I'm sure with a tank, one could easily get away with using a cheaper compressor with load taken off it ...

Now, just a query, how many tyre's can be inflated/topped up from a tank like this without refilling?
(thinking of a similar setup in my j-top- limited space)
Edit: By the way Juls, check out HIANUFGQ's post HERE it's a ripper with an alternative bottle

I know! I'm having to go out at 8am to help set up and do a few runs myself in the vette (I need to do this as the speedo is in MPH, but seems out to me) Then there's a sausage sizzle at the gardens with the CQMCC, but I'm going to pass that up, come home, get the Paj and head to 5 rocks with my ...

Rockhampton Speedometer Check
Anyone around the Rockhampton area in need of a speedo check? If so, I am a member of the classic motor car club CQ, and Sunday 20th April, on the Woolwash road (past Hastings Deering, near the Old Spire-Tropic of Capricorn) We have borrowed a radar and mobile sign, as well as the correct ...

Does diesel perish rubber? If it does, good way to kill a tyre. In any case, looking forward to pics. I'm not too sure about diesel having an effect on rubber (anyone?) But nonetheless, this system would seem like a good option if you were stuck without a compressor. Personally, I wouldn't ...

This really had me intrigued, so less than an hour ago, pulled apart an old compression gauge and clamped a tyre inflater to the hose. It easily and quickly inflated some latex gloves (didn't try a tyre as the hose wasn't long enough! and I wasn't going to massacre my good compressor hoses!!) With ...

if you need to check what the problem is with oil consumption, a compression test is the best. Buy a compression guage, about $15 at supercheap, and test each cylinder. (instructions should be supplied) and that will quickly tell you what your rings are like. Generally, if the oil ring is worn, the ...

Hey all, first post, so thought I'd start with my new purchase. This thing was a steal and very impressed with it's performance even on these road tyres (the first thing to be replaced!!)
