MQ Diff Ratio

Hi guys, looking at buying a front diff assembly from a MQ troll. On the compliance plate, it has SD33 bla bla bla, he can't read the rest of the information. I had the guy remove the inspection plate on the diff and he read "JH37:8 AM1120" of the crown wheel. Just trying for find out what the ratio ...

Yeh the MQ diff needs to be rotated. Hmm I'll get the guy to confirm the ratio on the MQ diff. How do you know what the ratio is? Do you have to open it up? Is it stamped on the housing by any chance?

The GQ diff is to wide. What you going to do about the rear? Change that as well?

SAS Conversion

Ok everyone, I'm planning on doing a SAS Conversion on my WD21. One question I have (sorry, maybe stupid) is what ratio front diff should I be using? How does all this work? I have found a guy sell a front diff housing with 3.43 gears. He reckons its the standard ratio across the MQ range - L28 ...

Rear carrier hinge

Hey everyone, hope all is well.

Silly question, but what/how/where does everyone buy those stub axels that you guys weld to the rear bar and attack rear carriers. Do you have to get the sleeve machined and also how does the bearing system work?

Just curious as I want to make up a carrier soon.

Don't forget with solid colours, such as white, it's easy to blend a small area thats damaged and buff it out. Where as candy's, metallic, flakes etc are aren't as easy to blend.

A good solid 2K job will last along time and is easy to repair.

you prep it...if your in Melb I can swing by and give you some tips. You do all the prep and i'll be more than happy to gun the car at your place.

You can cut most of the dust out of 2k Solid, where as COB you can't really do much in that sense.

Aluminum VS Polyurethane

Hey guy's going to do a 2 or 3 inch body lift on my '92 Triton. I can get aluminum spacers machined up pretty cheap. Just wondering what would be better, poly or alloy. I just have this image in my head that the poly will flex like hell. I'm going to get under the car and count the mounting points ...

Yeh they are turbo bags. XTR also make them. My brother had a few issues with these on his Drag Car. I don't think these are suited to high high high horsepower cars. It ended up cooking the bag. Smoke pouring out of the engine bay. That said, a few mates run them on the VL turbos and haven't had ...

I did my o2 Sensor the other day. Heaps better fuel economy. It's easy to fit. 10 minutes with a multi-meter and solder. 2 black is heater (non polarity sensitive) one earth, which I THINK is green, and yellow which I THINK is ECU feed.
