80 series sub tank woes

Howdy, Can any 80 series experts help me out a bit? I just picked up a HZJ80 on the weekend and can't seem to get the sub tank pumping fuel over and the fuel tank warning lamp is on the dash constantly. The switch on the dash does nothing and doesn't light up when pushed. If there is a pump there i ...

rear shock option

this probably is no use to most people on here but i discovered today that the rear shocks off my ML triton looked rather similar to the rears on the zuk. I'd already replaced the triton ones with long travel shocks and they were sitting in the shed gathering dust. so i spent 15mins taking out the ...

I would sell them but seeing as how they came with the car for free and they are near new I can get them changed to a greater offset than what I can buy.

Cheers for the info guys i will give him a call :D .

Steel rim flipping/ modifying offset

Heya, Can someone recommend to me a good place to get a set of steelies flipped/ offset changed? I have a set of near new 15 x 7 that seem to be positive offset that I want to put some claws on for my Sierra. Someone suggested I run them backwards but i'm not keen on that idea  . Cheers, Mike.

Something that i didnt see an answer to here... Is there a chance it was all ready overheating before you installed the larger tires and now that you have installed the larger 33" tires that it has made the problem worse? When you installed the new tires did you change any other features on the car ...

I'm not sure what causes your problem, but it's not your tyres. I have similar engine (6G72) and (I presume) a similar cooling system, and have no problems with cooling on 33" tyres - fast or slow, heavy or light load, on 40+ degree days. That's after I did the body lift, didn't move the radiator ...

33's and standard gearing? if so it can cause overheating as the engine is working much harder to turn the rubber. i can understand that, but how much harder would it have to work? could you compare it to towing a camper trailer with the standard size tyres? surely that would be more load on the ...

Fitting larger tyres cause overheating?

Hi guys,

I've been told the overheating problem i'm having at the moment is because i've fitted 33" tyres up from 31" to my Triton. This doesn't sound right to me and i think there is another problem. It only overheats on the highway above 70-80kph. V6 manual.

Any thoughts?

MK Triton Body Lift

Can anyone tell me how many bushes are needed for this lift? Its a 2001 MK Triton Dual cab 4x4 V6 Manual. A lot of sites suggest 12 but after crawling around under the car i come up with at least 14. And what happens with the 4 flat spacers between the tub and the chassis rail over the rear wheels ...
