Re: Tough Dog Toperi Challenge 23rd-25th Nov 2012
The majority of Comp trucks are on 40s, have every panel smashed in from driving buggy lines and would rather be driving buggies. Toperi tracks are easy, easy for buggies anyway. There`s plenty of rock out there, just needs to be blown up to make some new rock gardens. I`d rather drive Rock than mud ...

Re: Tough Dog Toperi Challenge 23rd-25th Nov 2012
Phill and I entered this years Toperi Comp just for fun. We ran mid field in 2011, thought we could do a little better this year. With plenty of training days together, we knew our rigs could go the distance. We did TuffTruck 2012 and finished top 20, our first major Comp with the "Gravinator ...

Re: Tuff Truck 2013> Rules Update
So unless ur 38.1mm 3.25mm wall is somehow partially opposing a layer of gravity to make it lighter, your comments make no sense & are typically uneducated. the Gravitron has always had this, once you drive through the first layer, all other layers are opposing  A new die & some tube has ...

Re: Tuff Truck 2013> Rules Update
Of course its overdue, but why wait so long to implement it. But to wrap my zook in 1 3/4 TUBE is stupid, may be needed to wrap your heavy weight patrol in it but the zooks don`t need such heavy shit. Ive roofed my zook plenty of time with 38.1, not hardly a scratch on it. Ive roofed so many times ...

Re: Suzuki- First Time Comp Truck Build
40s are a must have. Actually there`s nothing wrong with what Ive put together to build this rig. More important than what you`ve got is seat time, I managed about 50 hrs before TuffTruck this year and really need another 50 to know this inside out Here , I`m tested the first layer of gravity http ...

Re: Suzuki- First Time Comp Truck Build
Rear steer: havn't really considered this, cost seems to out weigh advantages. When we did our rear-steer, I googled the whole job before starting. After completing the job and documenting [50+ photos] It was one easy job and only half day to complete. Check my "how to rear-steer" build on that ...

Re: Suzuki- First Time Comp Truck Build
You got to decide, Comp car or Rego car. Completely different spec. Alot of comps in NSW don`t need rego anymore. Build one to do both means wasting alot of coin with stupid engineers and rules that wont make a very good Comp rig. A good start: Comp rig needs, v6 , auto, dual hilux-cases, 60 series ...

Re: Toperi 2011 26th-27th November
What are the advantages/ disadvantages of starting first ? I guess I rather start before some fat-assed wheeler with 42s ;) The disadvantage of staring first : Wet track from rain earlier in the week, means you start in a swamp, starting later in the field means the track was a lot drier. Rules ...
