Re: Patrol TG Chromoly CV's Axles!

Anyone running these in a GQ ute?
How much clearancing was required to fit? How are they going?

Interested in buying a set but keen to see how people have found them before spending the money.

Re: Old School Nissan Trials style event? NSW

I don't see how this is Great News? Good news for Sydney based competitors yes, but not great news! Further for country competitors to travel and not an extra comp on the Calender as original suggested by this post! Relocating a company can't be claimed as a "New" Comp! What we need is MORE comps!

Re: gq diff vs gu diff

Can anyone tell me the exact difference in Width between the GQ H233 and the GU H233? Looking to fit a GU front to my GQ and leave the rear diff original and just use wheel spaces to correct the width, need to work out what size wheel spacers I would need or whether I'm better off just going to a GU ...

Re: GU Auto Box into GQ 4.2 EFI

Sorry that was a misprint above.
It's out of a 4.5 GU. I was told it was the same box???? Both are 4 speed but it appears the electrics are slightly different.

GU Auto Box into GQ 4.2 EFI

Guys, This one has my Auto Sparky and I both scratching our heads......... Has anyone else fitted a GU Auto into a GQ at all. The car was originally a 1994 4.2 EFI GQ and we have fitted an Auto out of a 1998 GU 4.8 EFI. I am having issues with the car wanting to take off in 2nd gear unless manually ...

Nissan GQ Patrol Ratios

Hey guys, Trying to work out what I'm going to do with diff ratios on my latest toy, my Gq dual cab. A few questions; 1. Are final drive ratios in a 4.5 GU auto box and the GQ TB42e auto the same? 2. What ratios are other guys running on TB42e with auto and 33s? Wanting better offroadability but ...

What a top weekend, and to get back to the big smoke and find out it rained all weekend here makes it even better, i think a real special thanks needs to go to james from dubbo club, as i dont think he gets enough credit for the time and massive amount of effort and equiptment he put into this comp ...

MQ Rear LSD change over

Hey guys, Wondering how hard it is to change an open diff to LSD. The story is.... have an open diff at present, want to change to LSD, think I can get my hands on an LSD but it's different ratio. Wondering if it is possible to put my gearing in an LSD centre and what's involved in doing so? Cheers ...

Wouldn't be any different to the 12 volt sender as the 24 volt patrol guages are 12 volt anyway. That is why they come on when the accessories is switched on. Johno. Johno, Are you saying that the accesories on the 24volt model are all 12 volt. I am currently building up a 24 volt model and was ...

Would change complete motors but the turbo one done 400,000km, mine rebuilt less than 5,000km ago. Some young bloke owned it, got the head reco'd and got the s/*&% when the thing was still blowing smoke at idle. Picked it up for a steal and all that it was is the injectors need a service. So long ...

V8Patrol.... What size exhaust would you recommend running with a SD33T? I am currently fitting a turbo (from SD33T wagon) to my SD33 ute. Gather I am better off changing the injection pump too, is this correct? This was the only discussion I've found worth a pinch of s/&% on any forum on doing the ...

What's involved in converting the 12volt motor to a 24volt motor? Is it doable? I have just bought a SD33T wagon with the intent of fitting the turbo to my ute and it has this motor thingy on it where the ute is missing it. The only problem is the ute is 24 volt and the wagon was 12volt.
